Is it possible to switch my 2005 speedometer with the new mini speedometers with the screen?

 

It probably is possible but i bet it's more money and work than it's worth.

 

i could go to my local junk yard they always have new car coming in to take parts off so money wont be that big of an issue but work yes.

and might not be as easy to find as you think
Im sure that its not plug and play
so you probably have to have the brain reprogrammed

Certainly sounds like an intesting idea.

 

The sizes are different. So you would have to do a dash swap, and the electrical would probably not work.

 

Not possible. Your car electronics are completely incompatible with newer models.

 

If you're trying to use one out of a 2nd gen car, then no.

If you're trying to get the nav screen out of a 1st gen car, then maybe - at least it will fit, and there will be some programming involved = $$$$

What exactly are you trying to do?

Are you trying to get MINI Connected, or Nav or what?
