Where to Buy?

So I am planning to buy a 2006 MCS in late summer / early fall. I'd like to get the best I can find (excellent condition, original owner, low miles, etc.) at what I can afford (12k). Where would you look? I can't seem to find anything here in Colorado, but am willing to travel to where I have family that can help me check out the car (PHX, Cali, MN, PA). I've been looking at cars.com, autotrader.com, craigslist.org, and the MINI dealers. Am I missing anywhere?

The real question is does that car even exist? An 06 MCS is going to be the most expensive to begin with and adding low miles, one owner, and maint. records onto that will only jack up the value. You are looking in the right places, but it's going to be hard to find what you're looking for at the price you're looking with

Try Ebay motors. It's not the best thing out there, but my family and I have had some good experiences with it (I found my '06 MCS using it). Just remember to treat it like a classifieds section and not an auction because a winning bid is not legally binding unless money is exchanged.

SniperDetailing is right. I don't think the car you described exists. And if it did people would be jumping on the offer so you would have to be checking those websites every day. You may want to look into a well maintained MCS of a different year with higher mileage.

Consider an 05 as well.

perhaps this one? I know it's not super low miles, but it's still not bad and certainly was cared after.

Thanks everyone. I think for me, low miles is anything less than 90k. Some of the cars I've seen are well over 150k, which is way too many in my mind. I'll take a look a the sites listed above. I know it might be hard to find, but it's worth a try. I'll also widen my search to the '05 MCS. Thank you!! Hopefully someday soon I can join you as an owner!

Keep looking and be patient. I got my '06 MCS at 96k miles for a little over 11k and it has all the options I wanted plus a few extras. It's even newer than what I was looking for ('04 and '05 MCSs generally fit my budget better) and was well-maintained. Also don't forget to check out the forum marketplace too. You never know what you'll find there and many of the Minis there have lots of aftermarket goodies installed.

Good luck on your search and hopefully you will be posting pics of your new-to-you MCS soon!
