well i went ahead and took some rims that i like and threw them on several different mini's. The list goes from top to bottom.

1. Volk Challenges
2. Volk III
3. Volk Winning
4. Vold AV3
5. Enkei RPOM

Let me know if you like them cause i am seriously thinking about purchasing one of these styles! Also if you think a particular style would look good besides the ones i have shown let me know and i'll put them on.

I like #2.
With the dark silver and black roof you don't want the wheels to stand out too much. IMO.
SW

#1 is my second pick.

Ok, I'm a purist...I think you should only choose wheels that are made by MINI...although I know the urge to make your car unique is very strong, and you want a personal touch perhaps, but, adding after market wheels or cannibalizing wheels from other car makers will be disrespectful to the fine engineers at BMW/MINI....not to mention the fact that you will be adding insult to injury, a shameless taunt, to those who do not own a MINI....the poor bastards...MOTOR ON!!! but keep it real!

Those wheel ratios look ridiculous! They look like 20" rims - Try shrinking them down a bit so they resemble 16, 17 or 18" sizing - why anyone would want to put anything bigger than a 16" rim on the Mini is beyond me. The car just performs better with a 15 or 16" rim.

My rule of thumb has been to keep this car as light as possible - minimal unsprung weight, etc.

ok i'll shrink them down abit to make them more appealling, and i would have to agree with keeping one set of rims that are stock and it would have to be those 17" R90 alloy rims! those things are badass! But as far as after market rims go i would have to pick the Volk III

Although it would be tougher to do, has anyone photoshopped any pictures to illustrate how the MINI would look with SMALLER wheels and tires? If the plastic flares were reshaped slightly, the MINI could be lowered just by going to a 14" wheel (if the brakes will fit), and achieve something more of the classic Mini look.
