Best exhaust for R50

Would like upgrade the exhaust on my R50. It appears the two most common options are Borla or Magnaflow. Anyone have experience with either, or something else? Looking for a sporty sound but not to loud.

The Borla is on my R50 and it is a bit noisier than stock but not loud. The tone is nice and deep for a 1.6. I did not put it on the car as it came with it, but I have yet to seek out a stock system to swap...it's good, not sure fi I would drop $800 on it, but it sounds nice.

I had a Megan on my '06 R50 for about a year. Sounded great, but the drone on the highway was a bit much....after a 3000 mile trip on the interstate I took one summer, I took that sucker off. My ears had enough after that and I couldn't take it anymore.

I have a magnaflow setup with pre and post k&n intake. The exhaust with a stock intake gave a nice and throaty sound. The intake did mask the exhausts output. It is noticeable but not offensive.

The k&n air filter intake with the air box and resonator removed, turns the car into a completely different beast. The exhaust gets louder and meaner with the intake and Anything higher than 3k rpms(approx). Anything lower than this will give a similar exhaust note. Sorry I don't have any video to display. But, the car is definately more fun to drive... After all this is the whole point right?

Love my Borla combined with K&N typhoon. I've removed intake box and made a custom fitting scoop into the cone. The intake increases sound thru exhaust. Have had both installed at same time, 2 yrs ago, both holding up great. No rattles, no corrosion. Great note, and highway drone isnt too bad. There's sample vids of borla and maganflow on youtube.

I have the Borla on my '06 R50 as well, with an aFe intake. It sounds great, deep low tone and not tinny or "ricey." It's only loud when you are really revving the **** out of it, 4200+RPM.
