Really appreciate it if someone can forward crank, rod and bore specs, specifically big end bore and crank/rod journal specs std and over/under sizes.

My engine re-builder is having problems running down this info through his usual sources.

Also I will need to repair the #4 rod journal as it is now egg-shaped. Interested in how and where you guys have repaired these. I'm in central California.

Wow, it sounds like the exact same thing as my 05 R53 (91,000 kms). I haven't confirmed the bearing but we're pretty sure.

At this point I can't help with the specs (I haven't gotten to the rebuild yet), but I did dig up the 2007 BMW TIS online and managed to get it working. I don't know if it has what you're looking for at this point but I'll be doing the rebuild in April/May.

I'm interested too if anyone has the answers.

Try the haynes manual as it usually has all the specs for each car .
