BFG G-Force Sport tires...anyone run them?
I'm getting ready to buy some new tires for my mini. I've found a great deal locally on a set of BFG G-Force Sport tires installed for under $500.
Are these good tires for a daily driver car? I want something that handles great, is quite, and is not as harsh as the ContiPro runflats that are on the car now.
Thanks!

I've run them on my MR2's in the past and they were great tires. Treadlife could have been better, but on MR2 tires cannot be rotated, so that could have lead to the rears going out faster.
I just bought Hankook Evo V12's and like them, but that was only cause I found a killer deal on them. I would definitely purchase the G-Force sports over the Hankooks.

I have the BFG's on my MINI, they are good. Tread wear is average. Rated for 20,000 miles and I have about 24,000 on them with 1/4 tread still there. Just rotate every 5,000 miles and you will get max life out of them.
They were on my car when I purchased it and in my experience, they were terrible. They were pretty warn when I got the car so I have no idea how they were treated for the majority of their life, but they were very harsh and SUPER noisy for me. I have heard some pretty good reviews for them though, so I'm thinking that mine were just treated poorly.

Just to confuse the issue go here for survey results:

The Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport gets good reviews and has better pricing than the BFG G-Force Sport.
Currently I'm running Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2, they no longer sell my size, so the Potenza RE760 Sport is high on my list.
Hope this helps...

I've had them on my MINI - I would say they are pretty good at first, but after ~10K to 12K miles they get worn down somewhat and the grip drops off pretty noticeably thereafter.

I recently purchased my MCS. It came with BFG G-Force's on it. They are extremely worn down though (won't pass inspection), so I can't tell you personally how they drive. For a worn out tire they're not bad, but that's not really saying much. I CAN tell you the previous owner was extremely choosy about the car and everything was high quality for it, including some performance mods. So he gave them his stamp of approval.
I put a set of these tires on my wife's Z3 2.8. They were quiet, had a smooth ride and were reasonably priced. I sold the car after only 15k miles with the tires, so I can't comment too much on wear. However, the Z3 used staggered 17" sizes (rotating not possible) and they still had 6/32nds of tread depth after 15,000 miles.
Thanks for the info guys!
I decided to order a set yesterday. $500 installed with free rotating and balancing, and road hazard for as long as I have the tires. Not a bad deal.
I'm sure they will ride tons better than the "hard as rocks" runflats I have on it now!

Got my new G-Force Sports on this weekend. They are great!
They handle great, are very quiet, and the ride is much better compared to the runflats I had on there.
The only thing I don't like is that they seem to follow the grooves/lines in the highway they have in some sections...it's like the car is steering itself. Maybe I'm just used to the bald runflats without any tread?
Overall I really like them

I love how they stick....really hard to get them to slide.
The one thing I really don't like about them, and will probably keep me from getting another set of them is how loud they have gotten. They were pretty quiet when I got them, but slowly over time they have gotten louder and louder. Is that normal???? It's to the point where people have even told me "wow, your tires are loud".
They are in good shape, nice even wear, and no weird spots on the tread at all. I think they are about as long as the Nitto Terra Grapplers I have on my truck......
Anyone else have G-Force tires that are really loud?
A car dealer friend of mine has an '87 Porsche 928S4 in inventory that has those tires installed. From the records they have about 15k miles on them and they are quite loud. (Much louder than what I experienced with the same tires on my Z3.)
