Looks like fun! On a related note, I just got a GoPro Hero2 and tried it out over the weekend snowshoeing. The footage is fine but I noticed the same sort of intermittent jumps every 3 sec or so that yours has-- is that a setting or a "feature", do you know?
Oh no! This entire video was edited. These "jumps" are done on purpose in iMovie. If I would post the regular video clips I took with my hero2, it wouldn't be half as funny as the one you watched. If your camera is doing it from beginning,
You may have some problem there.
ah yes. There you have it; I'll keep experimenting then. Thx!
Hey, what kind of SD card are you using? I wonder if it is a read/write lag issue you are experiencing. I think you need a "class 10" card to ensure smooth recording. If that isn't it, it might require a firmware update?

good point with firmware update.. I did it even before shooting any videos and in my case I do use class 10 card..

Damn, I thought I was finally going to post a useful comment on this forum! Update the thread if you find out the issue in case I buy a gopro. Are your videos on Youtube?

Ha! Was useful for me! My firmware's all updated so I took a look at my SD card and it was Class 4. Class 10 has been ordered pronto! If you're shooting a lot in 1080, you need the faster card, which makes sense. (That's what I've been experimenting with. Havent even checked the lower resolutions but I bet they would not have the lag.) My big fat Class 4 can go into a still camera or something. Thanks guys!
Mini content: am thinking of creating a GoPro camera mount with my antenna base. Unscrew the antenna, screw in the mount and go. We'll see.
Eehhhhh am I glad I don't live in an area that snows THAT much ha. I absolutely hate snow & I think Utah snow is more than enough. However, that ride does look incredibly fun
