Back when BMW was originally introducing the new Cooper, there was some talk that there would be a wood steering wheel option. Nothing has surfaced so far. I know there's a real wood shift **** available, along with some fake wood trim for the dash panels, but I for one would love the steering wheel for my BRG Cooper S, either from the factory or aftermarket.
Moss makes a great real wood wheel for the Miata for $160-180. Maybe we can get them to produce a similar version for the MINI as well. Take a look...
OOOOH, I'd like to pound my chest into that baby... hey, maybe it will splinter and pop that annoying airbag. The safety flex requirement is for chickens.
What about a chrome welded chain link or barbed wire - sweeet.
White_Knucles, you should give that safety alert to BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Audi, VW, and a host of other auto manufacturers who provide wooden steering wheels.
