Front Strut Mount Plate - Rubber Cracked

I installed the Mini-Madness Strut Tower Reinforcement plates today and noticed that the rubber center of my front passenger side strut tower mount is cracked. I can't get a new part until at least Monday. Is the car reasonably safe to drive until then? I've attached a pic of what the crack looks like.

No, the center "ring" area is hard rubber.

Well, I figure you've been driving on it that way for a while, so it should last until Monday. Just don't try and Dukes of Hazzard tricks.

I'd drive her easy, like mentioned above. Be careful replacing that plate, I had to change mine out a few weeks ago. Make sure that the part is right, I ordered mine and it came in wrong because they used the picture for the strut mount for a bumper inside the strut. Not cool.

Plate successfully replaced. Kind of a bear to get the nut holding the mount to the strut. I may put together a write-up, given that the ones I found were pretty poor and didn't clearly explain what you need to do to get it off.

I had mine replaced this summer. How many miles are on your car? My right one started to crack at around 65k miles. I had new struts put in while he was in there.

60k. I may have cracked it myself when I was trying to bend the plate back into shape to fit the reinforcement plates I bought, but I didn't look that closely at it before I started hitting it with the hammer...

Use a 13/16" spark plug wrench on the bolt and a open end wrench to turn it. The top of the strut itself has a 6mm allen. Use a long 6mm allen wrench through the 13/16" spark plug wrench.
