Trim removal and restoration complete

So the black trim on my 2004 MC was looking a little dingy, so I decided to paint it! I haven't had much success with trim restorers in the past, but I have with black OEM trim paint that you can get at Advanced Auto for about $6.

I took off all the trim except the side skirts, so if anyone has any questions about removing trim, feel free to ask.

(I didn't paint the side skirts yet because I'd like to take them off but haven't ordered extra clips yet in case they break...you can see the big difference in the pics)

Great work! Looks brand new, I would suggest Mothers Back to Black to keep the trim looking that good.

Just apply it with a microfiber cloth in a several light layers on the trim. It's kinda of like the equivalent of tire wet but for the trim.

I think it will be pretty durable. I've used black OEM trim paint on my 81 BMW and it has been very resilient. I'll have to check out that product, thanks!
