What Kind Of MPG's Are Other Mini's Getting
Im interested to see what everyone in the community is getting as far a millage. Im also interested to see if anyone has ran across mods that help.
Im going to be looking for year, model, transmission, miles, modifications
I drive a 2005 MCS, 6 Speed, With 54,000, No mods
I also have the Nav so i can watch my MPG's...I drive mine around 500 miles a week, and average 34.5 while im working. When i take it out to play on the weekends I get 26.8. Overall I get a combined 29.7 per 3 fillups.

I have a 2011 "Justa", initially, for the first few months actually, the mileage was terrible. I manually calculated 21mpg on one tank. My commute is 50/50 highway and city 6 days/week with about ~106 miles/week. The computer now reads 27.1 (which has come a long way from what the computer read when I first got the car 4 months ago), so I'm sure once I fill up again and manually calculate, it'll be much higher. Previous tank was ~28 mpg, so hopefully this one will be in the 30's
2008 Justa.... travel 52 miles to and from work...1/2 is highway and the other half is country two lane road.....205/55/15 tires, a 6 speed manual transmission and I get 39 mpg driving 63 mph on highway (55 mph speed limit) and 61 mph on the country road. I'm happy!
Man, you guys make me so jealous! I've got an '06 MCS JCW with no mods at the moment, except lightweight wheels/tires, and my average is about 19mpg...... My main problem, with mpg, is that my commute to work is only about 2 miles, so the car never really warms up to temp before I shut it down. However, even on the freeway, doing 70, I can barely manage to get 30mpg. The car only has 23,000 miles on it. My last '06 MCS also got terrible city mileage, but the highway mileage was a bit better. I've tried driving like a grandma, shifting at no more than 3000 rpm and only giving half throttle.......for a whole tank. It was excrutiating. I gained 1.5mpg. Not worth it! HAHA
Wow, Great numbers...I just wanted to mention, I do outside sales so i visit stores daily. When im out its 75% Highway 25% City, I really baby the car just to see how far I can stretch a tank. On local highways I always use cruise and keep it at 55, on interstate i use cruise and keep it at 65...That's why I feel pretty good when I get 35MPG...I also should add its pretty hilly here. I live in Northern Kentucky and not very many roads are flat or straight. These are some pictures of my display

Its pretty impressive to see all the high millage Mini's still getting around

My daily commute is about 25% city, the rest are rural roads driven at 55 - 63 MPH. I average about 32-33 MPG. And I don't drive conservatively. Out on the interstate I'll average 36-37 MPG running at about 75-78 MPH.
One thing I have found is the type of fuel I use affects my mileage. If I use ethanol blended gas I will lose 3 MPG everytime I fill up. If I use pure gasoline I get 3 MPG better.
My MINI is a '03 MCS, 86k miles, 6-speed, non-run flat tires. No mods.

MANY, many previous threads on this.

The only thing is the older posts are irrelevant...Fuel blends change constantly based on Temperature/Location/Price of Oil...So the millage reported now is relevant to the 10% Ethanol/90% Gasoline mix most stations are pumping at the moment...But if oil spikes they could run 13% Ethanol/ 87% Gasoline mix....Or Vise Versa, Either way the millage reported will vary with the type of fuel being sold...
I have to agree, the ethanol blend gas definitely delivers less mileage. Also, winterized gas decreases mileage. I look forward to the summer.
03 MCS Standard with a nice set of mods - CAI, full miltek, 15% pulley, etc
Normal driving with a mix of street + highway = 8.5L/100km or 28MPG
Roadtrip with highway cruizing = 6.5 or 7 L/100km or 35MPG
If i drive like a sissy = ?? i never do that, but probably 40MPG :P
100% Shell v-power

I get around 28 on avg I drive 14 miles one way to work all back roads they are more like mini hwys though I typically cruise at 50-60 currently 85k on the clock and I am not gently with my MINI. see my sig for my mods.
My 2008 MC, has 45000 miles and I almost averaged 30 mpg last tank. I was at 29.8, but it has falled to 29.6. I know around 55 mph on steady cruise is returning 51 mpg, but cruising around 80+ mph returns around 30 mpg or so. I'm curious to see what a long cruise would return. I really drive it hard and it returns some nice mileage for what I'm doing to it. My Caddy would return teens for the same kind of driving.
'06 Cooper, 5spd here. I get about 26mpg (if my KM/L math is correct.)
My commute is 9km, half is downtown driving and half is a short highway stretch. I have a hard time keeping it below 3500RPM, if it's not closer to 4000. On the weekends I blast down twisty, bendy country roads pushing the redline.
This summer I'm taking a 2,500KM road trip, looking forward to seeing what I can get on long, boring highway stretches. Sometimes I miss the $20 fill ups on my motorcycle every two weeks.

We have two independent stations in this area that sell non-ethanol gas. However, they are a vanishing breed. One recently started offering ethanol-free gas only in its premium grade, which is what I use. Mileage does drop about 2-3 mpg when forced to use the ethanol blend.
The chemistry of E10 says your mileage with it should be 3% less vs. pure gas. This has been confirmed with fairly extensive lab tests. I'm skeptical of claims of 10%+ decreases.
Most using the onboard computer or nav who have cross-checked vs. hand calcs (gas receipts and odometer) report the computer overestimates by 2-3 mpg.
My 2004 MCS (stock except 15% pulley) has generally averaged around 25 mpg (checked by hand) - it just touches 30 on the highway (steady 65 or so) and can get into the low-20's around town.

In all three of our vehicles, mileage drops an average of 2-3 mpg with ethanol measuring by both the OBC in each vehicle and by calculating the "correct" way - manually dividing the miles driven by gallons used. Others have reported the same decreases. Maybe there's more ethanol in the gas than we think!
'05 MCS 6spd Manual, bought it 2 weeks ago with 68k miles, I've already put 1k on myself commuting to work (30mi each-way, highway)
Last tank I put in figured out to 27mpg, but that was a fair bit of playing as well as the commute. I'm taking it more conservatively this tank to see what kind of numbers I get.
