Has anyone found a clever way to organize the glove box?

I have gone back and forth between naming my glovebox 'Chaos' or 'Entropy'. It seems that the jacket for the owners manual is too big for the tray in the glovebox. If I put stuff on top of the leatherette jacket, the stuff falls out whenever I open the glovebox; if I put the jacket on the top, the whole mess ends up on my front seat.
Has anyone come up with a creative way to organize and keep stuff in place? I thought of maybe getting a little organizer and velcro-ing it in there. If all else fails, I do have a very realistic looking plastic hand (an old Halloween prop), that I could put in the glovebox, and ask the passenger to 'hand' me the map in the glovebox. I hope there is another way-- most of my friends probably think my sense of humor should be probated... and that the rest of me should be put in a Betty Ford (mini)-treatment program for my budding (well, full out blossomed) car addiction.

Has anyone come up with a creative solution?

Steve

Not sure if you have seen this but over at MiniMania.com there is a glove box organizer for the Mini. Might be worth checking out. If this link doesn't work it's listed under the interior section of the products link. Cheers!

Thanks!!! I just ordered one. I'll let you know how it is when it arrives. By the way, did you, or anyone else order the center console armrest? Is it any good? I remember a thread about this a long time ago, but I don't think anyone had actually purchased one of the arm rests. Any reports?

Thanks again,

Steve

don't have mine yet but I've been worried about space and now this!!!! Well, today I went out and bought a Ford Ranger to haul the Dogs and dirty stuff around in so I guess that's where I'll keep the MINI manual...in the Ford.

Sold my beloved 99 Passat Wagon for the MINI. I must be nuts...

The glove box organizer is great. Kinda pricey for the materials, but it sure beats everything falling out when opening the glove box door. Now I can finally find a tissue for my nose without having to pull out the registration, the manual, and the CDs.

Wow, it looks nice. Might have to get one. My glove box is a mess.

I saw the arm rest in person at the MOALA show. I didn't really care for it in person so I didn't get it and not at that price. I no longer miss the arm rest since driving the car for 10,000+ miles.

Chobe, are you in the UK/Europe or Asia? The U.S. version comes with a glove box those sold overseas do not. Not sure if anyone has come up with an aftermarket glove box for those overseas.

I live in Mexico City and we get the MCS German version, they told me that the only way to get a glovebox is to buy from a US dealer,
If anyone ever gets a chance to ask at youre mini dealer about the glovebox I would really be thankfull.
Chube

i would like it if the glovebox locked. I was quite surprised that it did not lock -- or it locks and I have not figured it out yet??
