Neon/MINI swapsies?

Before you get all crazy about reviving a long-dead thread, I'm inquiring about anyone having swapped the ECU/engine management systems from a Neon into a MINI. You know, get past the whole immobilizer thing? Anyone? Bueller?
Thanks,

excuse me for my ignorance, but why would you want to put ANYTHING from a NEON into a MINI?

Not sure why you would want to, but you could get an immobilizer bypass made for a remote start product and have it constantly powered with a separate battery.

If I had to put a different motor in my Mini it would be the Subaru Boxer STI engine. God I love the way it sounds.

Hold on a minute while I catch my breath...oh, my sides...oh, the laughter! So many unemployed comedians...
Now, let me 'splain: anyone who has tried to put a used ECU in a MINI knows that it ain't plug-n-play. There's this devious device called the EWS which incorporates the chipped key, the immobilizer, etc. If you want to put a chipped or otherwise upgraded DME (ECU) in, the car won't start unless you have it reprogrammed by someone like RPM Motorsport with your VIN.
I was just thinking out of the box...like the bypass module idea. I like the way you think!
