Especially when Automotive World Magazine describes the MINI as a Small Urban Vehicle (but BIG on driving fun)

How 'bout when the SUV is in front of you and won't let you pass?
I'm sure it's happened to may of us. The best part is when we finally get that break and can do what the MINI's good at. Check it out here.
(hoping it doesn't stress my server)

Um, I saw that and it looked pretty wreckless and irresponsible to me. And according to my law inforcement background, I would say you've incriminated yourself. Maybe I won't tell anyone, this time. I would suggest you remove that immediatly.

in the end you make a bad name for MINI drivers. Doesn't seem to accomplish much.

Personally, I have a lifted Jeep and a MINI, the best of both worlds

Before I march off to Room 101, I better answer your question.

What color is that Mini?

You're absolutely right. I think he missed at least 2 or 3 apexes during that whole drive. It's entirely inexcusable. Let's take his license away.

Man, sometimes misspellings are just so sublimely perfect!

I was kind of hoping no one would notice my line . . .dang!
Next time I'll point the camera at the shrubbery.

"Let he (or she) who is without sin cast the first stone".

Did anyone see any oncoming traffic during any of this clip? Also, the driver had enough view to ascertain that an overtaking manouver would be completed with ease in the available timeframe.

After 25 years of NOTHING but roads like this in England I have learned a new rule of the road; "The day you die is the day you meet yourself coming the other way".

Let the flames begin

Daniel1, law enforcement is when YOU get a speeding ticket for doing 60 mph on a straight empty interstate where the limit is 55mph. But you could also call this revenue generation.

If you plan on taking a stand here think hard about the number of times you exceed the speed limit or do a rolling stop at a stop sign. I understand that this may not be comparing apples to apples but these are laws that were created in the name of safety.

Lets not all get too politically fashionable here.

Law Enforcement, definition:

Only they are allow to be reckless because they do 3 point u-turns in the middle of blind corner, pursue speeders without sirens or lights, run stop signs, make, pass in no passing zones, cruise at 90 mph at will, etc. Why? Because they are "well trained" to disregard what they preach

A few years back...

Speeding without lights (showing off for a ride along) a cop drove his cruise into an appartment building down the street.

no one has yet to answer the "inforcement" question....oh well.

Passing on double yellows would be what might annoy people. He's lucky the SUV didn't speed up to teach him a lesson, a little road rage...you never know what someone's reaction might be.

I watched it twice and it didn't look like he was intentionally trying to block you. Sometimes my best intended motoring route gets "blocked" by people going slower than what I would like...everything happens for a reason.

Remember the thread a while ago of a guy speeding through his office park on a Saturday and ended up going over a retaining wall and totalling his MINI and damn near killing his passenger...

of course, if the SUV was driving the speed limit...you had a choice to back off and give yourself more room, too.

Whatever you do, don't post about passing any station wagons. Station wagons seem to elicit a log of unwarranted emotion on this board for some reason.

Cool video.

I must say, watching that video was pretty frustrating. I've been in that situation many a time. I will usually either slow down enough to get a good "run" through a few corners, or wait for a dotted yellow to pass. I learned my lesson, though, I was on a leisurely sunday drive through the mountains, not even doing anything crazy, and I ended up getting nailed for 55 in a 40, which is still 15 over the limit, but it was an empty, straight 2 lane highway, where in most places would be 55. The cop never showd up to court and it was dismissed, but definitely a hint to be more "responsible" with my driving.

Can't help you with the definition of an "Inforcement" officer. Can only find "Enforcement" in my dictionary
