constant mist or snow on rear window while driving
This is a hard one to title but just wondering if there are any solutions to getting rid of the constant rain or snow(depends on weather conditions) that collects on the back of my 2005 S while driving. I have a spoiler but I think it might add to the problem. While driving in wet or snow conditions the rear window is always covered with rain or snow, quite annoying..
just wondering, I think this is a real design flaw of the car as not only the rear window but also the lights get covered in snow when driving..

There is no solution. It is physics at work, there is a negative pressure zone behind the car and it sucks bits of junk back onto the car, turbulent air and such.
You'll have to continuously run the rear wiper with any kind of moisture on the ground.
I always wonder how anyone can go and delete the rear wiper, this is simply unfathomable if you actually drive your car.
My car can be spotless on 3 sides yet one can't tell what color the paint is on the back.

Lateral acceleration is your friend. This is a hatchback feature. Not much to be done about it.

Just kidding - and not only do I constantly use the rear wiper, I also use the washer almost as much if not more than I do for the windshield. Since I have not been able to find a rear washer bottle and don't seem to run out, I am assuming it gets its liquid from the front windshield washer reservoir. Is that correct?
It looks like a learn to live with it item, but will try the rainX approach. I have a rear wiper and do use it but i hate the sound of grit on the wiper. I live in eastern Canada and we use salt and sand on the roads in winter so back of car is always covered, turn on wiper and all you hear is grit on glass.. not nice
Having driven a cube van, one can get quite used to driving with a rear view from the side mirrors only!

there is also the JSArt wing tip, which they claim will change the air flow. I highly doubt it would change the charachteristics of snow, but maybe summer dust.
Looks great at least

You could look into the rear wing kicker from Group 4 Autosport. Reportedly reduces the grime on the rear area.

FWIW,
I did bite the $$ bullet & installed OEM rear mud flaps; (see my gallery), and they actually did reduce the rear boot grime by about 65%. That said, it still gets obnoxiously dirty when it is precipitating in winter,
; summer rain = not so bad.

The bumpers are different and thus there are none for MCS. But I highly suspect that a resourceful individual can get them to work. I have never seen a pair so I do not know if fitment is just a matter of some light trimming or not.
Dean.
Mudflaps won't do a whole lot for this issue. You're going to have to get a car without a hatchback if you want to remedy that issue. Due to the design of the car, it distorts the air behind the car and pulls up a lot of gunk. Pardon my lack of scientific terms. Maybe a rear diffuser?
