Replacing driver's side axle. Special tools needed?

I have basic mechanic tools. Any special tool/socket that I might need?

im trying to think of what i used i know your gonna need alot of grease and while the axle is out i would check the spine on the wheel bearing and make sure everything is fit and snug. be carelful when you take the boots off to not rip them if you plan on reusing them because if you rip them then you have to buy new ones.

get new boots! they are common wear items (i dont know why they dont make them out of kevlar).. a big socket for the axle nut is the only thing i was missing.. and also get a boot strap clamp and de-greaser to clean everything up.

phil.

The driver side axle does have a circlip on it. Check and see if the replacement axle comes with one.
