Hey guys.

On my way home from work today, I took a corner that I thought I could take (hadn't been wrong yet up until that point) at a stop light a biiiiiit too fast, aka 50 mph or so coming into the turn. Understeered a LOT and nearly slammed into a car that was approaching in the left hand turn lane of the road I was turning onto. Was scary. So, who else has had similar experiences?

I was on the freeway and I nearly bit it, I was driving about 90, but didn't realize it and I was suddenly sandwiched between two big rigs and we were on a turn. one of the trucks started drifting into my lane, I had to turn the wheel left then right (I was going around 80 at this point) my god, I suck as a driver and I almost lost control of the car, but luckily my s has great handling and I was able to advert disaster.

Didn't know I could take turns going that fast, it's nice to know, but in rush hour morning traffic I will be driving the speed limit (give or take 5-10 mph) from now on.

Have not almost wrecked it. But I did have to hit the brakes hard at 75mph. on a curve. This little baby squatted down and stopped right now!!!! Made me a beleaver in anti lock brakes.

I haven't personally come close to wrecking, but I almost got wrecked last week
in the left lane of the highway. Came up on some traffic, slowed down, looked
behind me and saw a Ford Exploder bearing down on me a little too fast...
Yikes! Watched him nose-dive as he slammed on the brakes and veered onto
the median. I thought for sure he was going to flip and roll into the back of
poor Winnie Cooper. Major adrenaline rush. He ended up just to my left in
the grass, looking very embarassed... as well he should've been!

Don't know if that was an intentional typo or not, but very funny...

Early morning, still dark, getting on the freeway out in Sun City in So Ca (no street lites) going thru the gears, hitting about 80, just getting settled in and taking a drink of my morning Dr Pepper. Put the can down, look up and see a very dim red light about 6' off the ground and on the drivers side of the lane. I was able to swerve just in a knick of time avoiding a camoed, six wheel rubber tired army tank doing about 45 mph with it's right tail light out and, as I said before, the left one dim. .

Me and my roommate along with many other people have been calling them that for years. I think it was sort of a spontaneous nationwide nickname after all the problems they have have. The leemings just keep buying them too I don't get it.

Yeah, that one's been common for a while. My boss has one, and it spends
more time in the shop than on the road. And he's thinking about buying
another one! Some people never learn...

I just find that people LOVE to taligate a MINI... and unless they are 2 inches away from my bumper, they always seem to think there's room to pull up...

I almost got creamed today by some idiot in a pick-up who, even though I had the right of way and was going straight, decided to start turning right into me. Then he realized what he was doing and looked all shocked and freaked out. It was a pretty close call.....

And yeah I have noticed how people really do tailgate me more....definitely moreso then when I had my Honda. Especially people in SUVs which is not cool.....

May I suggest auto-x? Seriously, it's relatively cheap and after a few days of running your own car in a safe, controlled environment you will know your car sooo much better. Not only will you learn how to clean that corner you recently pushed in, but you will be better prepared to get out of harms way!
