I too am looking into a towing solution. Uhaul.com is selling what seems to be the same thing as some of the others on the market for $129.99

The uhaul link didn't work for me and FWIW I would skip uhaul unless you absolutely need to rent a truck.

Curt hitches apparently stole the MiniDoMore design, but MDM is IMHO sturdier and has been making MINI hitches longer, check with them: www.minidomore.com

Or, get ahold of Russ over at MiniFini!

The MiniFini hitches are more expensive, may be slightly more versatile and are heavier duty - I like how they mount up into the frame rails, but they're also heavier and harder to install.

The MiniDoMore hitches take standard 1 1/4" accessories, and may indeed be all you need (rated for 150-200lb tongue weight, 2000lb towing - which is more than you'd want to tow with the Mini!)

Your choice, both are good, and unfortunately I know both guys - nothing bad to say about either, they're just different!
