R50/53 Merry Christmas to all
#1
Well it has been a strange year for me. I bought my first new car, my 2002 Cooper S. I said I would keep it stock but that did not last long with a set of winter wheels and then a skid plate, and air filter and suspension, and brakes, then another set of wheels, and 2 pulley's and swaybar, and exhuast...etc.. (Special thanks to Eric at www.helix13.com for helping me mod my MIni and being a true friend).
I started a new job 6 months ago, the position got terminated a few weeks ago but thankfully I was able to get my job back. Along the way I met a special girl who stuck by me but I was too involed with work to pay any attention. It took me a little while to realize it but I am greatfull she was still availible when I came to my senses.
I have also met a bunch of cool Mini owners along the way. D-Mini-ero has been great to talk to and has made me look at things in a different light. 13sec mini, and Mini SSSS got me into Drag racing, JLM and all his wisdom, Blue MCS for convincing me to keep my mini and do some Autocrossing, Andy @ Ross Tech for making me confused, Mac n Cheese for his wisdom, Koolmini for just being himself, Dandp for doing photo shoots and that cool cruise we did in NJ (we need to hang out more), Snid (mini2) for taking me through VT for a great ride, and all the other MINI owners I have met this year.
May you and and your family's have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Merry Qwanza, and safe holiday season and Let's Motor on into 2004

Happy holidays too Doug,
Christmas is my favorite time of year. Luv your pictures. Your girl is a keeper, as I recall someone said after you and dandp's trip a few weeks ago after she cooked for you. Glad you're happy. My wife and I took a bus up (our first) for a day trip and saw that sight in your pictures last Saturday. Very crowded, but fun. Motor on!

Doug,
Thanks for taking the time to think of me during your holiday. Its posts like these that make me want to keep this car despite all the problems mine has. I keep telling myself that its "just a car" but its not! So happy holidays to all of the friends and acquaintances I've made on this site, for being part of that "not just a car" experience!
