I wish they'd add another dealer closer to Pittsburgh... MINI of Pittsburgh was great for purchasing the car, but their service dept. makes me want to poke my eyes out...
Anyone know of any future plans to separate MINI dealerships from BMW dealerships? Cause that would be a fabulous step up... :smile:

In case any folks from MINI-USA or BMW are reading this, Birmingham Alabama is ripe for a MINI dealership. Now that Tom Williams is building their stand-alone BMW dealership they qualify to become a MINI dealer.
Sure would be nice not to have to drive 2-3 hours to visit my "local" dealer.

I love driving 3 hours to the dealer I purchased from...it lets me drive Mr. Teeny AND it lets me visit Chicago!
Although I do wish the BMW dealer a mile from me was authorized to service MINI's...

OmToast: I bought my Mini (04) from Mini of Pgh to and they were great to deal with, however, haven't had to go back for service/warranty yet. What problems have you had with their service dept? Anything I should know in advance? Would appreciate your input. You can PM me if you wish.

Man I live in Pensacola FL and the closest MINI dealer to me is Baton Rouge at 283 miles or Jacksonville (where I bought it) at 348 miles...
I went to Vista this past weekend. Bought some MINI stuff, GF looked at MINI's, must be nice to live near one...

Thrillhouse, just curious. Why didn't you buy from the dealer in Milwaukee? That's a tad closer.
There are no/nada dealerships in my state. Wish there were one in Des Moines. I don't mind the prospect of driving to the Windy City for scheduled maintenance, but the unexpected...wish I was closer.

Well, my fiancee and I took a weekend trip to Chicago for my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary. While down there, we stopped off and test drove an MC at Patrick MINI in Schaumburg. We were so pleased with the service we received that we decided to order from that dealership. Besides, we really love Chicago!
