R50/53 LESS THAN 200 MILES AND I HAVE A HUGE SCREW IN ONE OF MY TIR
I can't believe it, I went out to the garage this morning to check on my baby and what do I see, the flattened head of a phillips screw sticking out of the rear left tire, I took a pair of pliers and pulled it out and HISSSSSS!, so I put it back in, words can't describe how I'm feeling right now.
Bummer...well, like they say, __it happens! :???: It will happen to all of use eventually.
Just think, now you get to experience either roadside assistance or a "reasonable speed" drive to a dealer for repair. (I'd go with the roadside assistance if you want to keep the tire) I do think that the tire can be repaired so long as it's by a place authorized to repair runflats. A puncture to the tread is not so bad, relative to damage to the sidewall. So, hopefully you're just out a little time and not $250 for the tire.

I know, I meant to ask about a road hazard warranty, but I was so excited to get the car, I totally forgot to, figures, oh well, if I have to spend $300.00 to get her right, so be it.

Again, the tire may be repairable! There have been other posts on this forum about people getting their runflats repaired. I wouldn't get myself too bummed out about buying a new tire until I checked this out first.
But if it does need replacement, and you don't have an add-on road hazzard warranty, you're buying a new tire I'm afraid. The regular warranty specifically excludes tire damage from running over things.

I'm going to go with the inside tire patch, funny enough, I found a similar post over on Mini2, so now I don't feel as bad, misery really loves company  I just made a run to Wal Mart and it's driving fine, the screw is in the meaty part of the tread so maybe it will be fine after the patch.
