I can't believe the day has come, I drove down to Hassel Mini this afternoon to pick her/him up (still nameless), first thing, you will have to search long and hard to find a dealership that can match the service of Hassel, I will post my review in the appropiate place later.

The trip home was 146 miles of pure driving bliss, I think the power of this car is underrated by Mini by about 15 horses, even with a new tight engine, it pulls very strongly in all gears, staying under the 4500 RPM limit during break in will not be a problem, I can't wait for nice weather, so I can motor with the sunroof open. No rattles or shakes, even when driving on the third world country type roads in Queens and I hope it stays that way, I will have to take it back to the dealer for my free programming of the options, when I have the time. Well, I'm off to the garage just to look at my Mini...again..

Congrats! I'm still flip-floppin' between getting the silver or indi blue. But silver really shows off the lines of the car. Good choice.

Thanks all,

I am finding reasons for multiple trips to the store already, 12 mile round trip, 2 lanes, curves galore, with hills I'm addicted, 1000 miles to go before I can wind her up to redline.

X2

Congrats! I just got my phone call this morning that they are ordering mine on Monday, and I will have my order number by the end of next week! That phone call made my day! I can't imagine how it's going to be when it's finally here!

Congrats! Can't you just wait to flog the heck out of it? I keep finding myself accidentally flooring it and revving as high as 5700. Oops. Be good, happy motoring!

Hey, duboy! Welcome to MCO, home of many MINI Maniacs! You won't find a better place to stoke your MINI passion! The 4 months will fly by and you'll learn so much here & make great friends, too!

Cheers!

OK, I'll admit it I hit 5000 RPM yesterday, but the Dodge Neon driver was begging for it, the Pirrelli's sure are loud when are scrabbling for traction ops:

Thanks Clover,
You were the first person to welcome me here, and your enthusiasm is infectious, I just couldn't stand the wait any longer. Hey, I took delivery of my car just one day short of a month from yours, it would have been the same day if I did not get back from my business trip two days ahead of schedule.

Happy Motoring,
X2
