R50/53 A MINI Poll I'd like to see.
How many MINI owners drive their MINI as their honest daily driver?
I drive my MCS for business/pleasure/auto-x at a rate of 18K a year Interstate and city combined. I love it and it makes work much more fun.

I drive my modded MCS as my daily driver since Feb 03 (8600 miles on a tiny island 40 miles across). If I look at the MINIs in our local club I would say that easily over 90% are used as daily drivers. Even modded MINIs make for great commuting cars. It's a waste to be sitting around in rush hour congestion though but that is what the stereo system is for.
I guess you could rev your engine and make alot of exhaust noise for fun.

I've driven "Pepper" every day since I picked her up in August '02, back and forth to work and daily errands as well as trips to Watkin Glen for Vintage weekends and various other "motoring".....truely a "daily driver". She still attracts attention and comments everyday...a very fun ride !

Definitely my daily driver. 5K miles since i got her in August 03... though the car has 18K miles on her....
I've never had a fun car before, just functional little pickups, etc...for fun driving, I'd drive my motorcyle to work...
Since I got this car, my motorcycle has just been sitting in the garage...first time I ever really thought about selling the bike--the car is so fun to drive, I smile when I think about getting in it, even if I'm going to work! Used to get the same thrill out of the motorcycle, but my MCS is way more comfortable...only in rare stop and go traffic do I think about being on the motorcyle...idling in the MINI sucks...
but I don't have to do it often--I work kind of around the traffic stalls...with luck

I go everywhere in mine. It's fits exactly 140 lbs of 2 dogs and 2 boxes of t-shirts.
1 year 16, 890 miles.
The classic Mini goes out at least once a week. Carries 1 cocker spaniel and 2 t-shirts.

Daily driver to work and play. I also have a 2002 Mercedes SL 500 which is a garage queen and will only be used this winter on perfect days. Last winter the car was not used at all and only went short distances to "run" it. I traded my SUV for the MINI MCS and haven't looked back! BEST auto move I ever made
Gotta love the MINI!
