Just watched it. Good show, always is. As far as a MINI product placement, a bit weak. The "through the windscreen" shots were well drawn, but when the car is shown full, as in the the round-about scene, it was scretched out and only barely looked like a MINI. ( Marge's hair out the sunroof was funny, though.) My 2c.

God speed.

I thought the blue hair out the sunroof was funny too. At first I couldn't figure out what it was. But why did they have to crash the car??? It was cute though. And there was also a BRG MC at the rental place when the simpsons picked up the CR/W.

This is actually the second time there was a MINI on the Simpsons; there was an episode earlier this year that has a glimpse of one in it.

you know MINI has gone mainstream when you see it on the freaking SIMPSONS- the epitome of all things cool!

spoonleg, at least it's cool and not lame!

It would suck if it was shown on like The View's opening sequence or something.

i totally agree pezboy!

in my opinion, it was BAD PUBLICITY when oprah featured the car on her show. c'mon- do we really want to market to that population?!

(no offense to you oprah, if you're reading this)

IT TASTES LIKE BURNING! -Ralph

I was bummed because Homer wrecked it. (...I just don't handle wrecked MINIs that well!) The air bags didn't even deploy!!! Still, Her Magesty's carriage took the worst of it....probably because of its SUV-like stance.

Even funnier, last night on Andy Rooney's bit on 60 minutes, he was talking about things he liked and disliked, he said he disliked pumping gas and the video they showed was of a MINI gas cap and then cut to another of the MINI dash and speedometer.

Hum... A little poetic license to have the Simpsons, a family of five, driving around in a MINI.

Didja also notice that in some scenes it had a white roof, but in the roundabout scene the roof was red?
