Here is mine. Trying to get the best of both worlds, Cooper looks with an "s" performance.

Yes here is the Jigster's MCS with aero kit and four rally lights plus a whole lot more.

Has anyone put a chrome grille on an aero kit? Is this even possible?

I seem to remember someone discussing this in the past and possibly even showing pictures. Check under interior and exterior mods.

It seems to me that if you can take the grille from an Aero Kit and install it on a stock S, the opposite should be true. The installation of the aero grill requires a bit of trimming on the grille part that installs in the bumper, there may be a bit of "build up" on the stock grille to fit the aero.

Chrome grille slats are simply thin gauge chromed metal pieces that apply directly over the stock grille slats with double stick tape (included with the kit). The kit is available from you dealer, perhaps from aftermarket vendors also, but I'm not aware of who if that is the case.

Wait a minute....the MINI OEM MCS 3 slats front grille is an actual REPLACEMENT part not glued in slats that are seated on top of the factory grille and this also includes the lower bumper cover slat.

Any "Chrome grille: solution that suggests the use of double sided tape and that is installed on top of the exisiting grille is not an OEM MINI part, rather a pretty sloppy approach at it.

Follow this thread for further info on the MCS chrome grille replacement kit:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ic=18808&6

Parts are $96.25 at your MINI dealer parts counter and are a FULL REPLACEMENT for the MCS body color front grille and lower bumper cover slat. If you are a DIY you can do it with a couple Torx screw drivers and may be 1 to 1 and a half hours shop time. The lower bumper cover MUST BE REMOVED in order to install the replacement lower chrome slat.

>Chrome grille slats are simply thin gauge chromed metal pieces that apply directly over the stock grille slats with double stick tape (included with the kit)...

Beware if you buy this kit on Ebay...it is indeed simply 3M chrome tape, and the size did not even fit the slats on my S grille...and the guy makes enough on his shipping charges to cover the expense of his "kit", so he glady refunds your money in full, doesn't even try to explain why the "kit" doesn't begin to actually fit the grille...

I then found the OEM chrome grille at the dealers'--much happier with it.

Thanks to all for the great pictures--can't wait to see Interior Chrome Pics--
gonna do a search now!
