There is pride in purity! Who's with me?

Nothing against the great looking graphics many MINI owners have, but some of us have not decided to do that... and not because we can't decide. We have decided that our autos look great as is. Plane Jane? We don't think so!

Am I right? Am I right?

God speed.

Some day my own MINI will be sans graphics, so I'm with ya.

(Mainly because I wouldrather put any extra $ into mods... )

Just curious. Do you think being stripe/roof graphic free also makes you less likely to get pulled over?

Another factor to weigh in my graphics strategy. . . .

I'm with ya!

The only mods I have on my 2003 Jet Black/Jet Black Cooper are a stone chip in the windshield (It doesn't bother me as much when I think of it as a "mod" hahahah), and a pair of "chrome-like" stainless steel washer jet caps which I have currently on order from R-Speed.

Rock on,

-MB

Finally a club that I can join...no promises on how long my membership is though...sixteen months and I'm starting to sway towards stripes.

I guess studies have been done showing that red cars ARE more likely to get pulled over, but's about it. That would not enter into the decision for me.

I must confess to one exterior mod: a shortie, "billet" antenna.

God speed.

No stripes, no roof graphics, no sunroof, no white top, no black top (brg/brg).
(do have great summer wheels and tires, though)

Ah, finally a club for me. DS from top to bottom. Let's face it, it's GRAY.

Sleeper, Q-Ship. Stealth. Flies under the radar. Understated. Subtle. It's what's inside that counts.

So far my only non-stock exterior mods are a brakelight mod that works with my rear fog install, and a growling bulldog stencil sticker on my rear glass.

Upcoming mods other than wheels will be very subtle as well. If I get an exhaust I will try to adapt the original tips to it if possible.

A Euro front license plate is about the only thing I've added to mine in the 370 days I've owned her. Definitely a believer in the beauty of simplicity.

I think about putting on stripes and a roof flag from time to time, but then after I wash the MCS (about 3 times a week) I just stand back and admire the Chili Red/White MINI just the way it is. Only mods are window tint, shortie antenna and chrome door inserts.

I ac tually belong to the "MCS Chrome Club" but have no bonnet stripes or roof graphics and have CR/W without sunroof.

I've been thinking about putting either an Union Jack or Checkerboard graphic but I still like very much the "Out of the box" appearance of the car.

Liking the chrome... that grill is awesome! I have the MINI driving lights and have thought about a chrome grill. Are your slats replacement slats, or cover-up slats. Seems the latter would be easier.

God speed.

Count me in on the no graphics club. DS/B 2003 MCS. I had to have a dignified look so my patients didn't think I was having a midlife crisis. Nobody wants there dentist to be out of the "ordinary"!

Look out, Dave... someone is going to photoshop you a pic with a big tooth on your roof. Yikes!

God speed.

Yep, those are OEM replacement slats made for the MCS by MINI. Ditto for the chrome mirror caps. I have seen the "Tack on" double sided tape fake chrome mirror covers and they look aweful and are more expensive than the real OEM replacement parts.

The front chrome grille is the MCS 3 slat design also used in the European MINI Cooper "D" model. Both the upper grille and lower slat kit retail for $96.25.

The chrome mirror caps are $123 for the pair. I had the dealer install both before taking delivery of the car. Paid $125 labor for the front grille.

They are worth every penny IMO. The MINI was meant to have Chrome!

Also, you get to keep the original OEM factory parts as they are re-usable.

What might look real cool is to have your hoodscoop chromed as well. That would tie in very nicely with the mirrors and the grille.

Me gots no stripes, no stickers and no graphichs. Me likes me LY/W with sunroof as it is. I have grey S-lites (17&quot and I think the look is stupendous!

I do think that I will put a 21-7 sticker in my rear window so that other MINI owners who have radios can call to me and tell me how bitchin it is to drive a MINI...and I will, of course, have to agree!

With magnetic bonnet stripes and a cling vinyl sunroof UJ, I like being able to be a member of this club or not depending on my mood

Now that summer is over and the interior temperature is not so much of an issue, I think the UJ is coming off the sunroof for a while

No stripes or roof graphics on mine, but I do have a bling-bling carbon fiber hoodscoop.

Hey CooperBeagle,

You know I'm going stealth with the DS/DS. I'm not sure If I switch to Black accents or chrome. Time will tell. ALTHOUGH, if memory serves I saw a dark silver stripe that was barely a different shade than the paint, but it will stay DS/DS sans any stripes for now.

(PS, car supposed to show up next week and I had knee surgery yesterday, shifting is going to be challenging for a while)

l8r,

"Expecting" my chili red/white S in December and love the chrome grille. Have already called my MA/Dealership(Atlanta, GA) who has not replaced one but does know it as an after delivery option. I am waiting to get pricing but really want to pursue it. Was torn about CR vs DS and was fine about the grille in DS but would love the contrast in the CR.............

Count me in. I love the look of an unadorned car too.

But I do love the look of all those different stripes and graphics, but just not for me.

Go naked!
