My New MINI (anyone recognize this one)

Well I just bought (2 weeks ago) my new (to me) MINI from Leith BMW in Raleigh, NC. '06 MCS, has 36,xxx miles on it. My first MINI and it is awesome to drive. I found one with some nice extras - I was wondering if anyone here was the previous owner, or if anyone recognizes the car. Car is loaded - has Cold Weather Package, Premium Package, Convenience Package, Sport Package, LSD, Interior surface body color, GPS, rear fog, 17" web spoke wheels, Panther Black English Leather,....

let me know what you think

NOW FOR THE GOODIES

JCW Brake kit

Hotchkis Sport adj. rear control arms

Milltek Sport Exhaust

JCW CAI

Alta version 2.0 SC pulley (not sure if it is 15% or 17%)

here is an over all shot of the engine bay - has high performance ignition wires and JCW injectors!

So anyone know anything about the car's previous owner? the car also has a Checkered Flag decal over the sunroof. Leith BMW wouldn't give me any info (privacy) on the previous owner.

Thanks and I look forward to seeing some of you at some events

A little off topic, but what does the JCW intake entail? Is it a CAI? How much HP gain?

BTW if you are ever super curious about the pulley size, its engraved under that metal plate/sticker.

Im considering not putting the cover on it, just to look stock ('cept itll say 17% on it)

It is a CAI, and adds about the same HP as any of the others (which is a few). I am new to MINI's but from what I have seen the JCW has a flap in the back that opens up at 4500rpm to draw in more air from the cowl. Some people like this some don't.

Great looking MINI, I know you will have years of fun with it.

There is a mod you can do to the JCW CAI so the flap remains open all the time and you can enjoy the supercharger whine more!

So I am guessing this is an '06 MINI? It's in great shape! I love the interior.

I don't reconize the car, but try www.tarheelminis.org and see if anyone there knows the car. If it's from NC they might.

Thanks - I am on there also - no one seems to recognize the car though - It has been in NC its entire (short) life. I figured someone around might have known - oh well. Handles good in the rain - nothing like driving in the pouring down rain, 36 degrees out, and new to the car - no worries

Shame the dealer would not give you the previous owners name but who knows maybe your posting will produce a name. Sounds like you have got a real nicely optioned out car, congratulations.
