R50/53 2005 mini
2005 mini
have a new 2005 mini cooper with 60K miles. At 60mph there is front end shake that can be felt on both sides of the car, driver and passenger, there is no shaking when off the throttle so I doubt a motor mount. At the mechanic they changed inner and outer ball joints, speed sensors, , linkages in the front, new tires with proper inflation etc. If the CV joint boots are intact and joints are ok what else could this issue be? Tires are fine, wheel balancers are fine as well? I am stumped? The rotors and brakes also fine.
thanks in advance

Check your control arm bushings. They are known for wearing out, and if they are you can replace them with Powerflex bushings.

I would also check the wheel bearings. Jack up the front of the MINI and grab each front tire one at a time by the top and bottom and try to rock the tire in and out. If the tire if firm and there is no movement or "grinding noise" when you drive at low speed, then you should be able to rule that out.
