Help! Squeaky sunroof

Hey guys, maybe some of you have experienced this problem before. I have 04 R53 Cooper S with a sun roof. Everything on the car is still really tight, except that darn squeaky sunroof. I'm not sure if the weather stripping is starting to dry out or loose screws or what but it's driving me nuts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, would anyone happen to know where i can find the front fenders with the "air gills" down the sides? One last thing, i want to swap my front 3 slat grill and chrome trim to the black mesh grill but Mini Mania doesn't seem to carry it for the 04 model, any ideas where i can find it? Thanks guys, you guys rock!

Not sure if this is the grill you are looking for, I also have the sunroof issue on my 04 but only when it is open, I sprayed some grease on the tracks and it helped, but there are better solutions posted here, you will just need to find them as it is a common issue

Both my cars, (a toyota too) both have squeaky sun-roofs. I've never found any decent solution. So it'd be nice to hear from anyone who's solved this issue.

i had a squeaky sunroof that actually would stop moving back all the way sometimes.

the solution was to use some grease along the rails. basically, with the sun roof closed, lube the path along the sides of the rear glass portion where the front portion slides through.

worked like a charm. i used energy suspensiong bushing grease since that's what i had on me, but mobil synthetic grease works great too.
