I bought a new drivers side axle, and it doesn't snap in the way it should. I know it should snap in, and i shouldn't be able to pull it out by hand, but it comes out very easy. The ring is on the end of the axle, but it doesn't keep it in the transmission like it should. any ideas?

 

just keep trying. mess with the position of the ring, sometimes it gets pushed/smooshed/etc so you have to move it around and retry to get it "in"
