My maintance contract had just expired, the oil service countdown clock was close to zero and I was NOT going to pay the dealer $300.00 to change it for me. The guy behind the counter at the local auto part store just happened to be a MINI owner himself.....and then he said those three magic words.....North American Motoring.com ( ok, four words ) ....and I was off and running. With the oil change DIY in hand I was done in no time. That was easy, maybe I should do the brakes, and I could paint the calipers, and bleed the brake lines......



And I'm not so sure I like all that chrome......

I bought them at Advance Auto Parts for about $18.00 ( oval quartz halogen ) and used the louvered plastic filler piece that normally fits in that space, cut out the center, and then made a bracket across the back to mount the light too. And yes its Dorky....its Cheap....and its a Modification.

 

Nice looking Mini You have been exposed to moditus - highly contagious. Some of the symptoms are, but not restricted to, self delusion (just 1 more mod, really), rationalization (honey, this mod increases mpg), increased daydreaming (wow, I wonder what a header and catback would be like) etc. Do not be alarmed - the symptoms are not harmful or damaging, except to your wallet.
