Hello all,

Yesterday, I had to make a hard stop to avoid collision. When I tried to drive, it stalled.
I re-started the car and went on my way but Any idea???

Actually, my Mini doesn't respond well from stop. From the stop, I had to wait until it start to roll after I release brake. If i try to accelerate right after I release brake, it acts like it is going to stall or just don't respond for a sec.

Just wondering if all '04 Mini's are like this or something needs to be fixed.

thanks

I don't think the CVTs innards and computers can deal with sudden speed changes very well. Perhaps like riding a bike at a high gear and stopping suddenly. You will have difficulty trying to get going, attempting to peddle enough to shift.
