Hi Everyone -

A few days ago in the Wheels/Tires forum I posted a response, and a question, on this subject but so far no replies so I'm trying here.

Many people with aftermarket wheels would undoubtedly like to proudly display the black Mini Logo on the hubs of their new wheels. I sent an Email to "grafx@grafxwerks.com" who make all sorts of custom decals. I attached a closeup .jpg shot of a black Mini Hub and asked whether they could make 2" in dia. high quality decals like that.

Their response was: "That's 100% possible. All I need is either the genuine "Mini" logo in vector format (.eps or similar) or the font used for the "Mini" logo."

My problem is that I'm so computer illiterate I don't even have a clue as to what they need . . . much less know how to manipulate my computer to send it to them.

Is there a design-knowledgeable Mini Person out there that understands what Grafx is wanting to duplicate the Mini Wheel Hub logos? And if so, would it be a lot of trouble for you to send Grafx what they need? Would you like me to Email to you the same .jpg photo I sent to them? If so, please send me a PM (or Email me at "joesantoyo@aol.com) with your email address and I'll respond immediately.

Thanks for your help !
Joe

While we're at it, does anyone know what the font which MINI uses for their marketing pieces is?

"Vector" format refers to how the design was made.

A raster graphic (Raster format) utilizes pixels and their placement and color. When you zoom in on a raster graphic, the image becomes blury.

A vector graphic however use mathmatical algorithems to determine line placement. The difference is when you zoom in, it stays crisp. One could make a vector image of earth, and blow it up to actual size, and no detail would be lost. Vector images have a higher quality.

Photoshop is all Raster. Illustrator is all Vector. What your guy want is a .eps file saved from a Vector graphic program like Illustrator or FreeHand. .eps files are a standardized cross platform file--- I can save a .eps from a PC using illustrator, and pull up the same file on a MAC using freehand.

BTW, the above image is a JPEG, and is RASTER based. It may have been drawn in a vector program, but saving as a jpeg rasterized it.

.psd

I believe you can save .eps file from photoshop. But it will still be raster because photoshop is not a vector program.

I have FreeHand at home (at work now). I'll redo the image using a vector program. PM an email for me to send the vector graphic.

Hi all -

Ed@McNichol.com would love to have the MINI font and ESPECIALLY trhe MINI logo in either high res PSD or in any AI or EPS format. I'm thinking of doing a custom roof design...
