My steering went out today. I went out for breakfast this morning and when I returned back to the casa I pulled into my wife's side of the driveway and shut off the ignition. Then I thought I better not block her in just in case she needs to get her car out, so I re-started my MINI and when I tried to back out of the driveway I realize that I no longer have power steering. Gone, just like that. Let me tell you the MINI requires quite a bit of force to turn the wheel when the steering isn't working. I managed to drive it to the local Dealership (Moritz) where I left it for them to take a looks/see on Monday and hopefully fix it. Anybody else have their steering go out?

 

In a crosstraining I so a Mini s do exactly the same thing, but they started again and it work again, coming on the next few minutes, but they do the same after and after, I don´t now if they went to service and what they do after.

I think the power stering on the mini is electrical, soo they don´t take power from the engine (no power lose) but I may think is some fuse or the electrival pump on the power stering.

Well it's fixed again. My service advisor called me up early yesterday morning to inform me that my MINI was all fixed. The pump went out and after installing a remanufactured unit, it's all back to normal.
