From the viewpoint of design, what part of your MINI do you think of as just plain perfection? Is there a curve, a repetition or element that you just plain love? Exterior body part, chrome piece, interior ****? What part makes you drool?

For me, it's the dips on the bonnet between the headlamps and the center. They give the headlamps definition and allow the engine compartment to appear substantial. Very cool design work.

I know we have a lot of design sense on MCO, give us your thoughts!

but seriously, I think the door handles and fuel cover for the MCS are fantastic!

What get's me hot-n-bothered about the MINI? The simple, sexy curves of the rear quarter:

I have to say...the big FAT *** on my MCS. My vanity plate reads: "1phat S" and I get ALL KINDS of comments from folks on it as it exudes mult-dimentional comments. I look at my Winnie, every morning/afternoon/evening and get a different feel for her each time. I just simply cannot get tired of this 'event' in my life. Anyone else feel this way????????? Obsessed?????????? Hummmmmmmmmmm :smile:

I saw a picture of MINIs in production with the glass off... dowdy! That's what our cars would look look with out the wrap-around glass. The hidden pillars, when visable, are ugly! And the glass allows the roof to 'float". Very nice. Love to polish the glass around those curves. Deee-lightful!

 

For me:
#1 the curves of the bonnet
#2 the side mirrors

 

I read in the book "The New MINI" the designers wanted to make sure that the bonnet remained as one piece. This was a difficult task and was expensive to make, but as we now know, it is one sweet design .

So for me it's the curve of the bonnet, the wrap around glass and the wheels pushed out to the edge.

 

Those upper rear corners, where the shoulder line curves and drops down elegantly from the glass area, is just beautiful. That and the way the roofline is angled in relation to the chrome window line when viewed from the side profile. Just the perfect amount of visual tension to make it work. :smile:

Even pre-first view of the imfamous cleavage bonnet post (and post and post and post) I was really attracted to the hood. It is so cool. It is also my favorite part of the car to Zaino because the slopes feel so good. It is very sensual and this is coming from a guy who doesn't consider himself particularly a breast man. There may be something Freudian going on, but I also think is is just really nice styling.

CooperBeagle, I love that you are now posting your pooch's pic. Nice looking dog. MY favorate part of his/her design is the eyes. :smile:

 

Okay, I'll jump in on this one...!!

1. Yes, the bonnet is awesome. Luscious curves...yummy!!

2. I gotta thing for the rear hip where the body curves around to the back. I can't explain it...its just a thing.

3. I get a thrill every time the interior and dash lights dim on ...its just so, so sexayyyy!!!! Yeowww!

Y'all are all wet. The sexiest part on my MCS is its supercharger pulley, especially now that it has gone on a reduction diet and lost 15%!!

I'm in the "boot club" too. Nice lines...firm and perky...healthy size...um...ok. That's enough.

 

The bonnet, especially when I am washing or waxing her love teh smothness and curvature of her there.

the rear, especially: exhaust trumpets of my 'flow and the melodious sounds that emanate from therein.

 

For me, I'd say:

the bonnet, definitely, from just about any angle, including from straight ahead.
Even though I first prefered the look of the MC over the MCS, I've now fallen in love with the hood scoop, very, very sexy.
Side view: the short front of the car, very very sexy!
Towards the rear, the ever so gentle flaring of the sheet metal towards the rear wheels, ahhhhh those curves.
THe hiney: those twin center tailpipes....... ahhhhh
I also love the center speedo.
