So I've heard a clunking noise shifting into 1st, and in and out of 2nd. It sounds like it's coming from the front right side of the car. My car has 28k miles on it.

I did open the bonnet/hood and noticed that I could move the motor near the right motor mount... How much play is there normally on that?

Bump. Can anyone shed some light on this? I just bought a 2006 with a bad motor mount. The dealership is replacing it; but I want to know if there is a REASON why this motor mount went bad.

(It is not the hydraulic motor mount either; to the best of my knowledge at least.)

can't find a pic online. so if people still can't figure what/where I'm taking I'll take a pic and post it when we pick it up monday night or tuesday morning.

 

Just had mt ry motoer mount replaced on 06MCS under warrenty in about 20 minutes, dealer told me new one was a new design, so I guess old design was not up to the task...
