Pulling head - Timing marks

I'm pulling the head off my 2002 MCS today. I found what I believe is TDC on the compression stroke of cylinder #1. There is a mark on the cam gear that sets flush with the heads valve cover gasket surface. Is that TDC?

I'd believe so. but the factory manual doesn't mention it so I'd call alta or m7 they maybe willing to help you out.

If you are pulling the head, you should be using the BMW TIS software. PM me and I will give to you.
