The Cooper S is now home!

2004 R53
British Racing Green Metallic
Xenon's
Cold Weather
Leather Sport Wheel
Multi-Function Wheel
H/K Stereo
49K miles
Paid $12,000

Car is clean, needs front brakes.

I will post some photos tomorrow.

I fell in love and didn't let the old girl go......

Drives amazing and I'm pleased. Ready to start motoring!

Left a 2007 Audi A4 2.0T behind. (pile of crap)

Owned VW Beetles all my life, this brings back memories indeed.

Congrats on your MCS!

What didn't you like about your A4? I've enjoyed our Audis over the last 8 years.

Anyway, post some pics when you can.

thanks for the kind words.....

I will post photos later today for sure!

My Audi was in the shop 8-10 times. Things I can remember getting replaced.

Front brakes/rotors at 9,000 miles
Turbo Diaphragm
Oil separator - TWICE
3 engine module sensors
O2 sensor
oil pressure sensor
2 misc sensors
CD Deck was replaced at 10K
Wore tires on the inside rather fast......14K

It drove nice, but lived in the shop. Not to mention the payments were a lot higher than this fun Mini!

But, I love german cars, so I didn't hate the Audi, but I was very tired of it.

Now I just need to find a good SoCal Mini club.

I put a total of 21,000 miles on the A4 in 1 1/2 years, just for reference.

Congrats on the MCS!
A word of caution on the brakes (if you do them yourself): Buy some new Torx bolts for the new rotors... The old Torx bolts love to shear off and they can be a real PAIN to remove when sheared. Good luck!

Trade-in at a local Porsche dealer. I did get it cheap, but I know people there so it was a hair over wholesale.

Such a blast to drive and own.......

Congrats... good price.

I just got one too - '06 MCSC. In the current car market, one should not not pay more than Edmunds' Trade-In value.

Nice MINI!

My interior is identical to yours with the Anthracite dash trim and H/K stereo. How do you like the stereo?

Since your car has a 3 spoke steering wheel, looks to be like a May/June 2004 build (Check the sticker on the driver's side door jamb).

Congratulations again! I am still loving my 2005 MCS with 55K miles that I brought brand new 4 years ago. The more miles = the better the car gets.

The color is very nice too.

I love the cloth seats and the bolsters are amazing. So much performance in these little cars. It's impressive!

I will check the build date today after work.

The stereo works for me. Sound quality is good, great mid range, but what can you expect for a small cabin. I like the fact you can play with the various presets.
