Does anyone have any pictures of a new mini with a Union Jack painted on the roof? Or any other flag or cool thing up there for that matter. I always like the old mini's with the painted roofs, but have yet to see any new ones.

Any idea how much something like that might cost to get done?

I have some pics from a dealer visit that are good examples of what your looking for. I'll be getting them scanned this weekend and hope to have them on the site by mid next week.

I went on Ebay to see what was happening there Mini wise and there was a guy selling an indi blue mini with an american flag on the roof. Looked pretty good. But what I want to know is how these after market guys got all those cars to sell on ebay???

edit: Well look at that, I found it on my own :smile: There really is only one good picture of the flag on the roof, and none of it when you can see the rest of the car, but it really looks pretty cool anyway. Makes me want one evern more.

Okay I don't have a link but the item number at ebay is Item # 1830148209. Try typing that in. If that doesn't work it's on the third page after typing in mini cooper in the search field and like 19 pages of minis (models cars etc) come up. Good luck. It does look pretty cool It is the $19000 indi blue mini.

hey Sfiveten, have you gotten those roof flag pictures up yet? I am planning on ordering one from my dealer, but I always want to see pictures.

 

The official roof designs are decals not painted on.

The pics are not up yet..... errrr!
I don't have a scanner at the moment and the one that I've been using is 150 miles away. I tried getting the pics scanned by a local photo place but all they could offer was low res scans.
I tried this past weekend to get them scanned and sent them to my email from my fathers place....... Seemed to work... but for some reason when I picked up my email.... the pics had become miniatures!!!
At any rate.... I think I'm going to bite the bullet and go pay Kinko's to get them scanned.
I've got another group of pics (15) that should be posted by Thursday. With these I nipped the problem in the bud. They will be high res and preloaded to a CD. In this group I got some great roof flag pics.

I'll bump this thread when we get them posted.

It's not a flag, but I just posted pictures of my yellow mini with checkered roof on the
Member Minis gallery. I saw an indy blue with an American flag on it at the dealer in
Pleasonton. It was sweet, and I think we'll be putting one on our other mini (indy blue
- and, yes we have two...couldn't help it; they're just too cool), but new wheels and coil
overs must come first. :smile: I'll definitely put up pix when we get the flag done, but it may
be a while.
