What does it do?

I hope this isn't a dumb question but I have a switch that I can't find listed anywhere in the owners manual. It is below the air vent that is to the left of the steering wheel (US version). It appears to have a headlight symbol on it with the #2 on it. I have a 2004 Cooper S. Thanks for the help, Brian

I'm pretty sure that would be the switch to activate your factory driving lights.

I to have a button in my car i dont know what it does, I keep pressing it because it annoys me. I have a 2004 Minicooper with buttons on the back of my steering wheel on the left and right. The right up button is for volume, the middle is for changing mode and bottom is volume down. The left up and down is for changing stations, and tracks but the left middle button is a mystery. Its not in the manua i have either......

Any ideas to what this mystery button is. Maybe its time travel

ahh this was one of my first questions when i got my MINI. turns out the button is for a smoke screen, or oil slick...whichever one was chosen from the factory.

actually...it has no function. Its used on cars that were equipped with factory bluetooth. Mystery solved.

So be creative and hook that button up to something useful!

so is there ea possibility that my car has bluetooth considering the fact next to the sunroof button there is a thing that looks like a microphone. I thought it was blue tooth at first but my phone did not detect anything and no lights go on.

probably not. I think they were all fitted with that microphone baffle.
