R50/53 Got pulled over again
Well its about 1:20am and i was pulling into my driveway half in half out and i see sirens next to me. Cops get out giving me a hard time. I lost traction on the turn and the tires spun out the cop claims i was going 80mph up the street thus the reason of the noise.....
He was arguing with me of how i did not lose traction but because of the speed i was going. Its not possible to go 80 miles on a turn and 80 miles up 1 block in my mini it barely does 45 in a block..
Sometimes cops can be very power abusive, he told me he had a mini and he knows how they are. Fortunately he was nice enough to not give me a ticket but thats because he had no charges on me ....
Its 8 degrees F outside and roads are icey! he was just busting my chops

Sorry, but I live in a high cop area and have yet to be pulled over. In fact I was driving on European plates for a while and never had a problem.
Well, well, I think an applause is in order for you.
Why? This is the second thread that he has started about all the cops out to "get him". Frankly it is annoying. I have no problems with people speeding or doing stupid stuff because that is what we do and it isn't going to change. However, at least be a man (or woman) and own up!
I got several tickets in Germany and not once did I whine and complain. I paid my fines because I was wrong. They were not "out to get me" because I drive a MINI.
Own up!
Funny pull over story ...
To try and change the tone of this thread
I was driving my 79 and a local constable pulled along side and gave the car a LONG look over....then he dropped back and gave it a LONG look from behind....then he pulled alongside again, gave me a thumbs up and started to pull ahead....
He got a bit ahead and I saw the brake lights go on and he dropped behind me quickly and the lights came on
. I thought to myself, I KNOW what this is about. This happened in VA and I had no front plate on the car...
The officer came up to the window..once he realized it was on the right side and after asking for lic' and registration asked, "where's your front license plate?"
"In the garage." I replied.
"I'm going to have to write you up for that."
"OK officer. But I understood that the VA State code has an exception for cars showing antique plates.... In fact I carry a copy of that section of the VA State code with me here in the car."
20 minutes later..... "I'm sorry sir, you are correct (I saw him dig out his code book and look it up)....they didn't teach us that in school."
Knock on wood, no moving violations in over 35 years of driving. Yes, a law enforcement connection got me out of a couple. BUT, if you r getting pulled over multiple times in a week.....find a go-cart track to play and STAY THE (bleep) OFF THE ROADS MY KIDS ARE DRIVING ON CUZ YOU R DANGEROUS

Yep, I did. I also read the first thread he created and could have posted but I didn't. My point is that the OP has a one track mind and the thread is pointless. He appears to be young and has a habit of blaming his problems on everyone else. He like to play the victim and his post was not asking for anything thus opening the thread up for comments. So, I commented. I am entitled to do so.
Also, i want to make clear that I don't condone the speeding like my post above my elude to. The tickets I received were on a restricted area of the autobahn and were due to me not slowing in time. As I said, it was my fault and I paid my fine.

getting pulled over sucks, thats all i know. sometimes i lose track of the fact that i could get a fat ticket for some of the stuff i do. cops do their job, sometimes i think they can be crappy. if it really went how you said it went, then yeah, that sucks.
Finally, a worthwhile post. Thanks !!! I agree with you, sometimes, in the MINI, it doesn't feel like you're going that fast. My wife's Celica is the same way. You'll be doing 60, but it feels like you're only doing 45. You have to pay attention sometimes.
