There is another thread on this, in the future try to look for pre-existing threads.

From what I've heard, it makes things a little bit more fun and improves throttle response. This one I think is gonna be a judgment call based on your spending and driving preferences. I also wouldn't exactly classify a plasma booster as similar to the sprint booster.

Also to the originator of this post, avoid the responder to your post and his extensive experience on NAM.

wow....everyone is so helpful on here. Every topic about a MINI is going to be discussed at some point. if we all act like you guys, then this forum will be a very boring place. If your going to attack him for asking a simple question, you can at least be helpful in the process.

here is the link that will answer all your questions.

The sprint booster just adjusts the response curve of the drive-by-wire throttle.

For about the same amount of money you can get a custom tune from RMW that includes this mod plus so much more.

The thread has been edited, so some posts have been deleted, meaning you're now #2, but weren't originally.
It would be better to read the other thread referenced in post #5 (by SnYpR in case it gets renumbered again).

A) the guy who made the disrespectful remark showed only 2 posts to his credit. It had nothing to do with the second post on this thread.

B) Good work watching out by the moderators, that was really rude, and while I have snapped on people before, it wasn't exactly totally unprovoked like this case.

C) The drive by wire setup is very different from what I'm used to, having tyically worked on early 90's Hondas. A tune by Jan at RMW is probably a good call, but as I have said elsewhere, I am a long ways from Jan the Master of the Mini Cooper, lol. That said I believe the Sprint Booster is just one of those things that is going to depend on a driver, their driving style/preferences and budget. There is another thread on this, and when I pointed it out it wasn't to be rude. It was just to point out a valuable resource.

To hex project and everyone that has read or posted:

I sincerely apologize for tainting the forums with a nasty post....
I'm a new yorker, born and raised, and my sense of humor is sarcastic and cynical and in this case, entirely out of line. My only other forum experience is with urban bicycle forums, where every other post is an insult or an attack on another member.

I respect the benevolent nature of the forums moderators and members and I will nix the vitriol.
