I am back in the fold. I have owned three Minis so far and have been without one for about two years. Couldn't resist getting back into one. I have always regretted selling my first Mini, a beautiful Silk Green 2002. It was a base model and equipped minimally. I loved it for two years and traded it for a Pepper White Mini, sold that after a year and then got a used "S" (Dark Silver) in 2005 but sold that in a year.

Well, I found this gorgeous Silk Green Mini on AutoTrader and put a low bid on it and got it. It has low miles and has leather interior (which I didn't have the first time around) and the Sport package. The carrier called me just now and is about 4 hours from me. So by 10 pm I should have my car!!!

I will definitely take good care of this one and I won't let it slip away. I'm already dreaming of ways to modify it. I never knew the Silk Greens were so limited. I read recently that only 500 were ever produced. Too bad. It is just a beautiful color, especially when paired with a white roof.

Well, it did come at 10 pm last night. Just as beautiful as I had hoped. Pluses were the fact that it has Xenons, rubber mats and really good tires. Only downside was a little wind noise from the passenger window and a tricky sunshade. The smile is back on my face while driving.

nope just anything but nature and cash, nothing else can be green, I will not buy a jag because the dash lights are green, I dont wear it, or buy anything that color, just hate it

I have never seen a Silk Green up-close-and-personal; but I do believe it is probably the most beautiful color MINI has ever come out with. At least the pictures that I've seen make me think so.

It is really cold here so it is going to be hard to get the car really cleaned up and photo-ready. In the mean time, look at Puma's. His is a beauty.

Yes.

 

Yes; dark window tint, european plate in front (I have a plate that says "SGT PEPPER" which was from my second Mini, but I need to cover some blemishes with it), stubby antenna, maybe R90 wheels. I don't do performance mods though.
