MINI Coopers in "U-pull it" junkyards

I was wondering if any member here have found a MINI in his/her local "U-pull it". Either seems that people that wreck these cars are keeping them for future repair or someone is snatching them pretty good(body shops). I don't have a U-pull it in my area, but there aren't any MINIs within any of the local yards in my area either!....

I know its nowhere near you, but near Sacramento CA. there is a place that has a MINI junkyard. www.mazdarecycling.com I believe they will ship parts if you give them a call. Hope that helps.

Yup, when the insurance companies take them, they auction them to highest bidder anywhere from 2500-12,000 depending on condition. Pick-N-Pulls do not want to pay those type of prices or the trouble of bidding and picking up car. You gotta have a license to buy these most are autobody type outfits that repair and sell for profit. The place near Sac is actually in Rancho Cordova, I have bought trim pieces from them cup holders, wheels etc. Good deals unless they look at their book of prices, then overpriced. It's called Mazda/MINI Recycling they are connected in some way to the popular Bavarian Recycling.

Wow!!!
I would definitely go there with an hydraulic jack, a big can of wd-40 or some metal lubricant and a good tool box and remove the front/rear suspension, brakes, and the catback exhaust.

My first thought was "Well, that MINI has certainly been 'picked and pulled'"!

That MINI was HOT!

The Rancho Cordova (aka Rancho Cambodia) has always been a good (if not cheap) source for Miata parts. Years ago they advertized for MINI parts, but never had any. I suppose by now they're stocked up...
