Well yet another squeal thread...

I noticed it a week or so ago and it is driving me nutz! Although everyone else notices it at speeds above 30ish I hear it all the time. It seems to go with the speed of the engine (the faster it turns the higher pitch it is).

I am thinking a belt issue, but I dont know where to start, or look for that matter, and you cant really test a belt...

Any ideas?

 

That was the sound mine made before the s/c failed.

 

I dont have a S/C. .I wanna say its a belt... but idk

 

Sounded more like a belt. I read a whole thread about it and they even said it came from the same area as mine did. Peter

 

Have a friend rev the engine for you while you listen to various parts of the engine. It helps to use a hose like a stethoscope--one end in your ear, the other near the point you want to listen to. (Be careful where you poke it though!)
