Anyone running aftermarket wiper blades on their mini without the drivers side spoiler? I had piaa blades on my bmw, they were definately worth the extra dough, But I have doubts about the wipers staying on the windshield at highway speed without the little spoiler.

 

Dude, are you really asking this same question about wiper blades in the Wheel and Tire section that you previously asked in the Performance Modification section or are you just kidding around?

Actually, I had initailly thought I had posted it in the mini talk section.Apparently I did not. Sorry i'm a parts guy looking for an honest answer, not a computer lesson. It's actually funny that I get a response like this.Just this morning I was thinking how much BS goes on this message board.On all the fj40 boards, you ask a question it gets answered.

 

I've got non-stock wipers without a spoiler. Works for me. I also swapped blades for better sweep overlap. I put the longer one on the left side and the shorter one on the right.

 

PS I had to bend in the ends of the blade holder a bit for better contact at the tips.

I have the silblades, they work great. About ten times better than the stock wipers. No spoiler on them. Wiper spoilers are silly.
