Anyone buy their Mini through the overseas Military Sales Program? I am wondering about any experiences purchasing a Mini through this program.

Thanks

I am going through the Military Sales process now. Car is scheduled to be built in November 03. I am presently waiting for the 04 final pricing to be established. No haggle pricing. Check out their site. http://www.pentagoncarsales.com My 04 Cooper S has the premium package, sports package and cold wx package. As I said, not sure what final pricing will be, but somewhere close to 21.5K.

Happy Motoring

I bought mine through Military Sales last year, and didn't have any problems (other than getting inpatient). The car showed up at the local MINI dealer in Bitburg, and I've been motoring ever since.

I'm going through Pentagon also. I actually have a production date of the week of 22 Sep. It has been an interesting experience. Currently I'm in SWA and I am HOPING to be home MAYBE November. They will hold the car until I return to the states. I think the real test will be picking up the car from the port. Pentagon has been rather vague about that process.

Does it save you much in cost?

This sounds like a great program. Quick question, well actually three. First, was the pricing the same as on the Mini Website? Did you have to have the car delivered to your order location? Finally, is the purchase Tax Free if you have the car delivered to the states?

Thanks,
Spike

I purchased my car through Pentagon car sales, in Italy, While station in Bahrain worked with Carl Braun and Denise, great experience, the savings was huge over the MSRP, received my car in May 03, also tax free, shipping was paid by me and delivered to Cali, Oxnard and pick up there.

Coolbrz,

What did you have to go through to pick up your car at port? How was the condition of the car when you picked it up, was it prepped or did you have to clean it up?

Thanks
