Does anyone, anywhere have or know of a New MINI Cooper with wood trim?

I have seen it listed on MINI's 2002 Brochure, but it's not on any of the MINIs.

MINI says they sell them in europe for the NEW MINI, but I have searched and searched, but no wood trimmed MINI.

The trim is called: Faux Wood Trim.

Any pictures, or information on this 'MINI' Mystery would be good to hear about.

welcome to MCO!

The only wood trim I've seen is in the configurator I think, or p-shopped. I'll check the configurator and build one up and post if it's in there

dbwilldo,
That's nice. Look a little luxury for the interior. Then what is the exterior color should be?
White w/ black top! Or the other way around?

I asked about this when I ordered my 02 MC. The story at the time was that it was not actually available because they decided not to offer it as an option, but the 02 brochure was hurried to print before that decision was made. I haven't heard anything other than rumors about it since then.

Notice in that wood dash picture there are dual euro parcel shelves! That is how the MINIs came in the beginning. Then they came with one driver side cubby opening/ one parcel shelf and latest glove box for the passenger and cubby for the driver. This is all in europe not the US.

good eye minihune! I never noticed that....makes sense since the configurator is about circa early '02, possibly pre release

DUCTTAPE - I have that picture printed out on my wall at work and it's also our screen saver at home....I LOVE IT...it's that Cali girl in me...

I know I'm one of the strange ones that REALLY likes the look. If it's an option when the Cabrio is available, it's going in mine....

FYI
The above part number though european area valid for ordering in the US. That's how we got the euro parcel shelf.
It is pricey at about $400 plus shipping and installation costs. These are plastic dash pieces. You should confirm that the dash is for a left hand driver MINI.
The shift levers in wood for CVT and Cooper S are real wood-maybe that is why the cost is fairly high.
