I just installed my new three spoke steering wheel on my 03 Cooper (Nigel). I got the new airbag from a legitimate oem airbag store. But the domed MINI symbol in the center seems to have been bashed from someone honking the horn. Can I replace that sticker or decal?

 

short answer, no. dealer doesnt sell that alone

 

But doesn't Aestheticreations sell a domed sticker that goes there? I'm wondering if I can remove the decal without the airbag deploying

 

oooh, i understand now... yeah, take it off and replace it. you wont deploy the airbag.

ive taken the airbag off a couple of times and it wont deploy the airbag by removing that. in fact, that whole shell is just the horn assembly, the airbag is behind it. if you feel a little scared that it may discharge, disconnect the battery.

 

Can you buy the cap, with the sticker or logo, and just replace that?
