Sometime in the very new future I will be getting my hands on a MCS. My exact car would look something like this:

indi metallic blue
white bonnet stripes
sports seats
sports package
possibly premium package (if I can afford it)

I can't wait to get the car. I know that I want to modify it; there is no question about that. I'm planning on: pulley upgrade, chip, intake, cat back exhaust and wheels, I'll be asking plenty of questions about that later. I'm a little bit anxious to, this will be my first car, I've never had a car payment before, so its a little scary, but I know having a car that can out handle E36 (one body style back) M3s in the turns will make it all worth while.

Welcome! You made a pretty nice choice for a first car. Can't get more exciting than that... first car AND its a MCS.

I'm picking up my IB/W MCS this afternoon so without a doubt I think you've chosen the best color!

Good luck!

Welcome Candy! You're going to LOVE your MCS! It will be beautiful. Of course, you realize that Dark Silver is faster... '02MCS,DS/DS

Mine is a DS/W '02 MCS. CooperBeagle, that must mean since your's has more DS than mine it must be slightly faster.

I didn't order one, actually. I've found that most lots have a few sitting there waiting to sell, and sometimes, they are there long enough for the sales people to want to make deals. I'm just going to go from dealer to dealer until I find my car, or close to it. The hand-me-down I'm driving now is slowly dying, so I can't afford to wait for delivery.

Best of luck on your search! I found one I wanted already being built and noticed tons of IB/W cars - my second color choice - especially at Mini of the Hamptons, a dealer that gets very high marks. Anything you can do to decrease the wait time is a good thing.

Indi blue or electric blue? - the pic you have is of an electric blue.

IMO - get the premium package. If you really plan all those mods to the car, you're expecting to get into money at some point.
While you can always add the aftermarket stuff, a sunroof would be less of an option(!), and the MFSW is too cool to pass up.
If you plan on getting other wheels, you can save money by opting out of the sports package (are Xenons worth $500 to you?)
Then again if you're looking for one that's already built, that decision has been made for you...
Good luck!

I want the stability control, that’s really what the sports package is to me, the xenons would be nice as well. I am planning on getting new wheels; I don’t know where they will be on the mod list at this point. Some superleggras would be nice, I’d love some BBSs, but those things are pricy.

I want the premium package, I think I’ll get it, I’m sure I’ll be able to. There’s an IBM MCS coming into a dealership near me on the 8th. It has sport, premium, h&k sound BUT it has blue leather. I want cloth. I’m not going out of my way to get a well handling car to put seats that I will slide around on. If I can’t find anything else, I’ll go a head and get this, the dealer mark up is 2K; I wonder if I can find a dealership that doesn’t have mark up.

Yes, I know, the picture is of an electric blue cooper, I could not find a single picture of an IBM facing straight a head, so I gave up and just went for another blue. I'll fix that once I get the car and update the sig.

candycooper - I hope you get the mini! but i have to say, i have the leather with lapis blue inserts and i'm not sliding anywhere! the seats are ultra supportive, i really feel this is a non-issue.

of course, a nice test drive would also help you decide

candycooper,
Aloha and welcome to MCO-
If you can't find one too quick near you I can find you one in Hawaii- just drop me a PM if you get interested.
You choice of color and options are great. I have one that is really close. I have the blue lapis leather seats and
they work just fine.
